There is no easy answer to this, we (like you) have trawled the internet, looking for shortcuts to make enough money to itch our travelling bug! Sadly, we have no magic answer.

Our top tips for saving money:
- Use deals – check every flight website on Black Friday, it is amazing how far you can get for a fiver.
- Work out where you can/will compromise. At Luxury Explorers we would prefer to fly economy and stay in a nice place when we arrive.
- Create a budget – once you arrive it is easy to throw everything on the credit card and worry about it later! Don’t do it! Work out how much you have to spend and prioritise what you want to spend it on.
- Be friendly to people – living in a city that sees its fair share of travellers means that we meet people from all over the world. Getting to know people who we encounter has lead us to visit them in their home country – saving money in the process.
We work hard when we are not travelling to save money, taking on extra hours and hosting for Airbnb. Our aim is to pay off our debt and mortgages, rent out our house and travel the world on the income that creates – we aren’t there yet, but watch this space!
